There was a treat in the sky for the people of Kuantan on Sunday, when they witnessed something better than a silver lining - this gold halo above the clouds. The natural phenomenon which began around 4.30pm lasted about 10 minutes. The phenomenon is most likely explained by sunlight being reflected and refracted by water molecules in the cloud
